Arsenal 2020/21 Season preview

Where next for Arsenal?

Last season proved to be a season of transition for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta came in and breathed new life into a team that was going nowhere, After four years of not qualifying for the Champions League, there was a sense of gloom and failure permeating through the club compared to the success, they have had in the past. Just winning the FA cup is not enough for a club of Arsenals pedigree.

What is the biggest challenge facing Arteta?

Getting Arsenal back to the levels where they can be seriously considered title challengers will be a challenge. The squad is not deep enough with the required quality. Keeping Key players fit, Like Aubameyang, Lacazette and Leno are a most.

Reasons for fans to get excited and nervous?

Fans can be excited that they have a young and ambitious manager in Mikel Arteta, they could be very nervous to the fact that they seem to be over Reliant on Aubameyang. You are left wondering where the goals will come from should Aubameyang be absent from the team through injury or suspension. Arsenal to finish in the top 6 this season.

Who will be their key players?

Aubameyang is Arsenals primary source of goals. Aubameyang scored 22 goals in the premier league last season, one third of Arsenal goals. Arsenal only score 56 goals last season. Aubameyang is the captain, he leads by example by scoring goals and providing assists.  keeping Aubameyang healthy throughout the season will be important to Arsenal as he is their tailsman striker.
