They will go again and try to win the the league again, but it’s going to be much more challenging for Liverpool to retain the premier league title with competitors strengthening. For the season ahead there will be some additions to the squad from within the club and external recruitment. Liverpool will look to keep their form of the last years and try to win the premier back to back.

The biggest challenge to Klopp Liverpool is the motivation to go again. Liverpool was 18 points clear of their closes Rival Manchester City. They won the league with seven games to go. Their competitors will improve, and they will look to close the gap between themselves and Liverpool.

Who will be their key player?

Virgil Van Dijk is a crucial player for Liverpool as they don’t look the same team when he is not playing. Liverpool doesn’t have another defender like Van Dijk in their squad. 

 Reasons for fans to get excited and be nervous about?

Liverpool has the chance to retain the premier league title, who would not be excited about winning the premier league again. Liverpool fan should look forward to competing for all the trophy available to them. One reason Liverpool should be nervous, a poor defence of their premier league title, a massive drop off in form which is not comparable to the last two seasons.

Liverpool defence of the title will have a different feel to as they are champions. Liverpool will be the team to beat for every team in the premier league this season. The lack of Signings want concern Klopp, but fans will be concerned. Liverpool title rivals Manchester City will look to rewrite the wrong of last season, they will look to come back stronger.
